How to Use the LumiList Extension

Install

• Chrome, Edge, Brave: Chrome Web Store
• Firefox: Firefox Add-ons

Connect it (one click)

After installing, a LumiList tab opens. If you're logged in, click Connect this browser — that's it. You can also open the extension and click Connect LumiList, or go to Connect the extension at any time.

Each browser gets its own connection, which you can see and disconnect under Settings → Browser extension. You never need to copy a token.

How a chapter gets saved

1. Open a chapter on Royal Road, Scribble Hub, Webnovel, WuxiaWorld or MVLempyr.
2. Read it. A small LumiList button in the corner shows how far through you are.
3. Reach the end (or click the site's Next button near the end). Once you've also spent a little time reading, the chapter is saved and the button confirms it. Skimming to the comments doesn't count.
4. Changed your mind? Click Undo on the confirmation.

Reading a novel that isn't in your library yet? After the first chapter the button offers to add it — and the chapters you've already read are kept and saved when you do. In the extension's options you can have novels added automatically instead, and the button can be told never to ask about a particular novel.

Your daily routine

• Continue reading: click the toolbar icon to see the novels with new chapters, most recently read first. One click opens the next chapter at its source.
• Unread count on the toolbar icon, so you know when there's something new.
• Alt+Shift+N opens your next unread chapter from anywhere; Ctrl+Shift+L opens the extension.
• Streaks: today's chapters, reading minutes and your streak are in the popup. Turn on the evening streak reminder in the extension's options if you'd like a nudge.
• Goals: if you've set a daily or weekly reading goal, the popup shows how far along you are.
• Caught up? When you finish the newest chapter of a novel, the button points you to the next novel with new chapters.
• Adding a novel from its overview page: click the toolbar icon and choose Add to library.
• New-chapter notifications (optional): one combined notification when novels you're reading update.

Highlights and notes

Select text in a chapter and a small bar appears: pick a colour to save a highlight, or Note to write about it. Right-click → Save highlight to LumiList works too. Everything lands in your Highlights and Journal.

Offline

No connection? Chapters, highlights and notes are kept in the browser and sync on their own when you're back online. Nothing you write is thrown away: if LumiList can't accept a note, it's kept in the extension's options so you can copy it.

Troubleshooting

The button says "Couldn't find the chapter text"

The site changed its layout or the chapter hasn't finished loading. Use Mark as read on the button; we watch for site changes and update the extension when they happen.

The button is in the way

Open its menu (…) and choose Hide on this site, or change its corner or hide it everywhere in the extension's options. Tracking keeps working without it.

"Connection expired"

The browser was disconnected from Settings or wasn't used for 90 days. Click Reconnect; anything read in the meantime is kept and syncs afterwards.

Private windows

Enable Allow in incognito (Chrome) or Run in Private Windows (Firefox) in your browser's extension settings.

Privacy

The extension only runs on chapter pages of the five supported sites and on lumilist.cloud. It sends which chapter of which novel you finished (and how long you spent reading it) to your own LumiList account, plus any highlights and notes you choose to save. It never reads other sites or your browsing history. See the Privacy Policy.
